After two years of significant uncertainty for the tourism sector, the outlook for 2023 appears promising. In the third quarter of 2022 alone, a 76% increase was recorded compared to the same period in 2021, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Tour Operators (Braztoa).
In light of these figures, a projection made by the Federation of Commerce of the State of São Paulo (Fecomércio/SP) forecasts a 53.03% growth in the sector this year.
Experienced and Qualified Workforce
To meet this growth, companies in the industry face the increasing challenge of developing a qualified workforce. In response to these challenges, Braztoa has partnered with Labora, a startup specializing in the professional reskilling of experienced talents, to boost the operational performance and results of its members.
Using proprietary technology, Labora activates the experienced workforce at scale and offers new hiring models that vary according to each company’s needs. Braztoa’s member operators can hire reskilled and certified professionals through Labora or have access to a pool of talents that can be tapped as per their monthly demands, resulting in up to 18% savings compared to traditional hiring models.
Additionally, Labora handles all people management and training, ensuring that each talent is ready to work upon arrival, helping companies avoid turnover or loss of professionals.
